Sisters Oregon is a bit like an intricate tapestry . . . a place where the jagged white mountains meet the deep emerald of the tall ponderosa forests, then merge together with the muted sage-colored high desert.  There is likewise an incredible array of Sisters OR homes and real estate for sale.

The area, early on, served as a wagon trail stopover and the gateway to the Willamette Valley through the Santiam Pass.  It was a wild place; the domain of trappers and lumbermen.  The town itself takes its name from Three Sisters (Faith, Hope, and Charity), the mountains, along with Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, Three-Fingered Jack, and Broken Top, that loom over it and give it the postcard-worthy panoramas.

The development of Black Butte Ranch in 1975 changed the dynamics and started the growth of real state in Sisters.  The town is now home to roughly 1800 citizens; it also features a quaint downtown with western-themed storefronts.

Probably the biggest  events in the area are the much-anticipated Sisters Rodeo, “The Biggest Little Show in The World” (now in its 68th year) and the fabulous Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.  The latter brings in more than 10,000 quilting enthusiasts each July.
