Bend Oregon Real Estate . . . Rocco’s Pick of the Week . . . Deschutes Landing

Bend Oregon Real Estate . . . Deschutes Landing

As a pretty urbane pooch, I get a chance to saunter around town a bit; I have gotten to know the Bend Oregon real estate market quite well.  Wednesday has become my favorite day . . . I often get to accompany my mistress on the MLS tour.  She likes my feedback, and I’m pretty happy just to get out of the house.

Deschutes Landing

I’m going to try to pick (and write about) my favorite home each week from the MLS Tour, because, as I said, I’ve gotten to know the Bend Oregon real estate market pretty darn well.

This week’s pick for me is almost a no-brainer. I’ve admired the property at Deschutes Landing from afar for quite some time (see my earlier posts on Bend Oregon dog parks and no humping). But this is the first time I’ve ever set paw on the property. From the dog park, while cavorting with my canine mates, I’d look across the Deschutes River admiringly.

Setting paw inside the Deschutes Landing townhome was a revelation for me . . . better than I’d expected. I was blown away by the flooring–reclaimed white fir from the depths of the Great Salt Lake.  The trim and cabinets were premium grade and knotty alder respectively.

The center island featured slab granite. The appliances were just my style too . . . “high class” just like me.

The 3426 square foot riverfront townhome at Deschutes Landing features three bedroom suites and two additonal powder rooms, as well as an office and a cool theater room.  I loved the travertine bathroom floors with their radiant heating. But, what really caught my fancy was the wonderful outdoor paver deck, complete with fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and views to die for (Deschutes River, Old Mill). I could imagine eating dinner out there, casually watching the sun sink in the west behind Mt. Bachelor.

This townhome has been reduced by almost $200,000 and is being offered at $1,099,000; MLS #281804.  If you’d like to check it out, call my mistress, Sandy, your Bend Oregon real estate broker to schedule a showing.

See you next week.
