Bend Oregon MLS . . . home of the week 3/30

Bend Oregon Home Of The Week (Rocco’s pick)

This writing every week is tough stuff . . . I’m starting to feel like a syndicated Bend Oregon real estate writer.  I’m even feeling the pressure of a deadline. And the Tuesday MLS Tour starts pretty early !

It was snowing this morning (300 days of sunshine . . . yeah!), and here it is –the end of March.  I was moving a little slowly, not my usual terrier self.  Nevertheless, I was excited to again be accompanying my mistress on the Bend Oregon MLS tour.  All my master could talk about was the fresh powder at Mt. Bachelor.  He’s a little boring sometimes!

Sunny South Side of Bend Oregon

This week’s tour of Bend was on the east side of town, an area I don’t get to too often.  I’m always surprised how sunny it is there . . . almost like a different world.  It’s also convenient to a lot of cool things . . . like Costco and the car dealerships and the biggest dog park in  Bend at Big Sky.

We visited a few homes in Bend Oregon. My favorite was clear cut. I was drawn to an 1890 square foot, single level home on SE Crescent Ct.

Reality is, I wasn’t so much attracted to the home (and certainly not to the decor, which to me was right out of 1969 and sort of  made me feel like I was on LSD).  My mistress was ever diplomatic, and called it “quaint.”

No, I was drawn to the 3 car garage

and the amazing shop . . . the biggest, baddest, bestest “man cave” I’ve ever laid my perky brown eyes on.  It could double as a full basketball court. I immediately had visions of ski boats, 53′ RV’s, quads, monster trucks . . . this unit could hold them all!  It  had transom windows way up high for natural added light, humongous roll-up doors, and also a commercial grade gas shop heater for those nippy mornings.

I could live here!  Especially with the sparkling view of Mt. Bachelor (I bet my master is up there!) from the driveway. This home in Bend is being offered at $399,900.

Though I enjoyed the tour again this week, I was pretty happy to get back to my home. Be sure to call my owners for more info on this home (or others).
